Kogin Thread 20m

Description

"Kogin" is a type of Sashiko born in the Tsugaru district of Aomori prefecture during the Edo period. To look at, Kogin, has thicker, tighter geometric patterns with the threads tightly embroidered together. This is deliberate as the fabric was woven to reinforce the layers because it made the fabric thick and trapped warmth. The characteristic of the thread is that the seams become fluffy and beautiful when threaded into a cloth.
